shade, about
35% to 40% of full sun is the best.
If indoors, set the plant by the
window where it can get some morning
sun and is in
the brightest part of the room.
Provide some shading for
afternoon sun exposure. Afternoon sun is too strong
and may burn the leaves.

The plant can tolerate a range of 55
to 95 °F §but
ideal temperature range is between
65 – 85 °F.

§Do not set the pot on a pan
of water.
Keep
the potting material moist by
running water through the pot.
Occasionally mist if relative
humidity is less than 40%.

§At least once a month but no more
frequent than every 2 weeks use a
liquid or water-soluble fertilizer.
Fertilizer grades can be used
include the following:
30-10-10, 14-14-14, or 20-20-20.
Follow instructions on the
label.

§When new growth
outgrows the old container transfer
the plant into a larger pot.
Medium grade fir
bark or decorative bark may be used.
You may have the old potting
material intact with the roots when
repotting.
